The Traveller in Me - Mexico | Linen & Cotton Fabrics

Sparked by travels through Mexico in 2024, this collection showcases all the memories.

A handpainted tequila bottle from Sayulita, Blue Agave plants for as far as the eye can see on a drive from Guadalajara to Tequila, a friend's tattoo, beach buses through cactus laden deserts, embroidered cushions in cute hotels with archways and hand painted tiles. The cacophony of visual stimuli, the colours of painted walls, layers upon layers, peeling to reveal another version, handpainted signs in various fonts and art seemingly everywhere.

These elements were hand painted and then printed on 100% linen & 100% cotton

There are 4 designs in the collection: 

Mexico Complete - all the elements, the whole story of my creative reflection. A natural sand colour base and a candy pink base.

Floral Beauty Burst - embroidered flowers on cushions & dresses & bed spreads and throws were a delight everywhere. Hot pink & close to red on a marhmallowy pink base, a burst of floral beauty.

Floral Beauty Stripe - handpainted flowers adorned walls in hotels & on the streets. A wide striped fabric on a natural, every so slight buttercream base with prominent flowers alongside delicate bud chains

Shell Blocks - as a lover of block print, I love repetition of pattern. This design was a play on that concept; taking what was a friend's tatoo, the shell, and placing it in blocks, coupled with floral and agave elements with a pattern noticed on tiles to compliment and form the grid.
